The Golf "Links" Experience
A program custom designed for every client. We meet with you to establish your goals and build a format that will ensure all your participants enjoy the experience while learning important themes and concepts.
What to expect:
- Pre-event assessment meeting to establish your objectives and format for play
- A custom scoring book for each participant explaining all the activities
- Our facilitators will do a pre-tournament introduction
- Gift bags provided for all participants
- Facilitators are on-course during play taking photos and encouraging interaction
- A post tournament debrief pulls all the experiences together reinforcing the learning
Non Golfers can be integrated into the event in a number of ways:
- An easy format where they can use other players shots as their own
- Fill a special role as a scorer, or "rules" official
- Be responsible for facilitating learning discussions on the course
- Participate in alternate off-course activities especially designed for them
The length of play, number of holes played for learning and format are all designed to meet your goals. More golf, or more learning? - you tell us your preference.
Here are some examples of activities our clients have used for their meeting objectives:
BLIND PUTT
Each player is required to putt blindfolded while teammates help with alignment and coaching. Messages about communication, giving direction to others, and trust are examples of discussion themes built into this activity.
SWITCH UP
Players are required to hit each other's shots providing a great opportunity to discuss how they rely on each others performance, accept the hand they're dealt, deal with stress, etc.
STRATEGY SHOT
Teammates choose players to hit specific shots. This becomes an opportunity to talk about recognizing each others strengths, planning ahead, and supporting the team.
CHANGE BALL
Players are required to use a tennis ball in place of their golf ball. Discussion follows around how well we deal with change, what happens when we have to adapt to a new environment and how creative we can be when faced with new challenges?
These are just samples of how learning activities can be built into your golf outing. The program will be adapted for the golf skills of the participants providing more or less traditional golf as you determine is appropriate for the interests of your group.
